What is your name?

Andy Hume

What do you do?

Build websites and consult on the best way to build websites.

What do you do when you’re not doing that?

Walk to and from my flat, the beach, and Brighton’s numerous eating and drinking establishments. Life is hard.

Favourite food?

Some kind of fish. Probably shell fish (except oysters).

Favourite city and why?

Sydney. I have a lot of family there—it feels like a home away from home.

What did you want to be when you were at school?

Didn’t really have any ideas. As long as I got to wear a suit with an inside breast pocket and carry a briefcase, that would have done me.

Worst thing about the internet?

Trying to find the signal amongst the noise.

Best thing about the internet?

One person’s noise is somebody else’s signal.

Tell us something we don’t know about you…

I used to be a professional trumpet player. If you know where to look you can hear me on Spotify, iTunes, and lots of BBC, ITV, and Channel 4 documentaries and films.
